About Alirio Lopez and the Pink Bourbon

Alirio Lopez's farm, Finca Buena Vista, is a 2-hectare home to 4000 coffee trees in the San Agustin area of the famous Huila region. in the San Agustin area of Huila. Investing in both time and dedication, Alirio Lopez has produced a coffee we can't wait for you to try! Sweet and Sparkly, this Colombian coffee stands out as a cup and here is the reason why:

A first for Sirius Coffee Roasters, we are excited to bring in a Pink Bourbon varietal! A hybrid of the Red and Yellow Bourbon varietals, this rare varietal is difficult to produce with consistency. However, the trade off is a coffee that is both more resistant to coffee rust and exceptionally delicious.

This batch required three days of harvest, with cherries being depulped the same day they were picked. Fermented for 50 hours, the coffee seeds were then washed and left to dry for 12 hours to drain excess water. Finally, the coffee seeds were dried on beds for 20 days until their desired moisture content was reached.
