About Cooperativa El Porvenir & Ayarza Natural
Cooperativa El Porvenir is made up of twenty-eight farms and nine producing families: the Lorenzo, Zapata, Aguirre, Najera, Mendez, Sandoval, Ortega, Martinez, and Barrera families. Their hard work and dedication has resulted in lots with high criteria, rejecting coffees that don't pass standards or meet the distinct profiles.
All the efforts have led to a series of coffees known as The Ayarza Wine Series, a collection of deeply fruited, winey coffee lots that display intense fruits, candied sweetness, and depth of body with a slightly fermented character.
Shade grown and picked at peak ripeness, then naturally dried for 5-6 days on patios overlooking the mountains of South East Guatemala and the Laguna de Ayarza, this is a coffee we look forward to every year! With a flavor profile of strawberry jam, blush wine, and candied hearts, this coffee is not one to miss!
